SEEKING FEAR is an action-drama with a twist, dealing
with the important issue of women’s safety within the
context of an exciting feature film.
The film’s storyline is based on the knowledge garnered over
many years by the film’s director, from convicted sex
offenders in the prison system and by talking with countless
victims of sex crimes. This allowed the filmmakers to craft
a true-to-life core dialogue between protagonist Trudy
McCormick (a police profiler) and serial rapist Ted Lipton,
which frames the re-enactment of his crimes as we trace the
evolution of a criminal mind from his first offense through
a frightening series of acts.
As Trudy gains insight from Ted, she is able to help her
long-time friend, Special Victims Unit detective Nina Atwal,
as Nina over comes her personal demons to finally apprehend
the man who raped her twin sister eight years ago.
The film’s drama is accentuated by action sequences with our
police teams, including car chases, gun battles and high
falls to keep the film entertaining and the energy high, so
the audience will hardly notice the valuable and potentially
life-saving lessons they are learning.
But those lessons are the core of this project’s
importance. It was born out of a lifetime commitment by its
Director, whose objective is to increase awareness among
women and children, thereby reducing the frequency of these
crimes.
A word from the Team:
"If by producing this film it prevents just ONE
woman or child from going through the nightmare, then to us
it becomes much more than "just another movie"
